real faces

No stock photos, no actors. These are the teens behind MannMatters — some of whom were also not fine. Their words are real.

Founder · she/her

Hi, I’m Akshita Mogha! I’m a student aspiring to become a psychologist. I’m one of the founders of Project MannMatters. My work is driven by a deep commitment to making mental health accessible, inclusive, and free from stigma. Through this initiative, I aim to create safe spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe open conversations, awareness, and emotional education can help people better understand themselves and others. Alongside this, I tutor students after school, guiding them both academically and emotionally. I spend my free time writing poetry, and I’ve published a poetry book, Soul Solitaire, through which I share my thoughts and experiences. If you believe conversations can change lives, then you’re already a part of what we’re building at Project MannMatters. I believe that sometimes, all someone needs is a space to be heard, and that is exactly what we’re working to create.

To be fully seen by somebody, and be loved anyhow — this is a human offering that can border on miraculous.Elizabeth Gilbert

everyone is welcome

All people. No exceptions.

Whoever you are, however you show up — your real face is welcome here. We don’t need you to be okay. We don’t need you to be eloquent. We don’t need you to be anyone in particular. We just need you to be honest, and we’ll meet you there.
