We’re teenagers. A lot of us spent late nights telling a chatbot everything, because it never made a face, never got tired, never disagreed. It felt like being understood. It wasn’t. It was being reflected. A reflection can’t see you — it can only repeat you.
MannMatters is the opposite of a mirror: a place to drop the filter, say the true thing, and be met by actual people — peers who sometimes won’t just tell you what you want to hear. The proof is structural: the people behind this are the same age as the people in front of it.
How we got here
Project MannMatters started on July 4, 2025. Our first project was a collaboration with Adharshila — we volunteered, observed sessions, and led our own over six months.
In October 2025 we organised an Art Event to promote expression and healthier ways of coping through art and poetry. We raised ₹2,000 in donations, which we transferred in full to Adharshila.
Alongside this, we’ve been posting regularly on mental health topics on Instagram (@projectmannmatters).
Our newest projects: The MannMatters Times, a monthly newsletter published on our social handles, and the Rant Wall on this site — an anonymous space to share what you’re carrying, with the option to leave an email if you want a response from our team.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a supervisor to credit our team members and help make sure we’re heading in the right direction. If that’s you or someone you know, we’d love to talk.
Everyone’s real face is welcome
We’re proudly LGBTQ+ friendly. Whoever you are, your true face is welcome here — that’s not a badge for us, it’s just the point.
What we’re not
We’re not therapy, and we’re not a bot. We’re fellow teens holding a quiet, anonymous place for other teens to be honest — and we know where to point you when you need more. If something sounds like real danger, we stop and show help right away. That honesty is exactly why you can trust us to be honest with you.
